The neighborhoods on the west side of the Snake River are referenced as the "West Bank". The West Bank "north" and "south" is an area that is about 10 miles long and 2 miles wide. The ten miles stretch from Rivermeadows in the south to John Dodge to the north. There are numerous neighborhoods and developments in this region along with beautiful ranches and wildlife areas. The Snake River corridor also offers long walking paths along the snake river onto the dike which includes Emily's Pond, Rendouvous Park, and the south dike. The West Bank is also close to the pass and the Teton range so there are a lot of activities close by like walking Old Pass Road, the Phillips Canyon trail network for biking and hiking, and Mosquito Creek drainage where hiking, biking, snowmobiling all take place.
There are too many neighborhoods to mention in this area but some of the largest include the Town of Wilson, Rivermeadows, Indian Paintbrush, Crescent H Ranch, Pine Meadow, Stilson Ranch, Willowbrook, Wilderness Ranches, John Dodge, Tucker Ranch and Teton Pines (which we will highlight in its own section).
The Town of Wilson is located at the base of Teton Pass and is about 7 miles west of the Town of Jackson and is home to about 1,500 residents. Wilson has a small commercial area with restaurants like Nora's Fish Creek Inn, Pearl Street Bagels, Streetfood located in the Stagecoach Bar, a small grocery store (Hungry Jacks), hardware store, gas station and a great outdoor store (Wilson Backcountry Sports).
